So yesterday I went on a road trip to San Diego with some of my friends. We went to this one restaurant/bar I was told about called Analog Bar. This place also has some video games and a music area, I didn't get to check them out, but the atmosphere was really chill and the food was fantastic and they played good music.
I ordered Chilaquiles Tatchos, tatchos are their specialty which is tater tots done nacho style. The Cilaquiles Tatchos are tatchos with a chilaquiles sauce, which is a mole sauce as a base, two eggs cooked sunnyside up, some avacado sauce and cheddar cheese. The sauce was fantastic, it was spicy and delicious, the two eggs done sunny-side up just accented the flavor perfectly. It was only $6 during their happy hour and was well worth the money. One of my friends got the Pulled Pork Tatchos, which I heard the pulled pork on it was fantastic, also $6, also worth it. My other friend got their Pancetta Mac n Cheese, he couldn't taste the Pancetta very well and it was really small other than that he said it was good, it was $5.50 but not worth it due to the proportion.
The three of us split a dessert, their Churro French Toast. It's a french toast made from a churro batter and covered in cinnamon sugar and served with two "sauces", a strawberry jam and a brown sugar maple syrup. It was really delicious with their strawberry jam. The brown sugar maple syrup's flavor was too similar to the french toast's. I decided to try mixing the two "sauces" together once we were out of french toast, it was so freaking good. The Churro French Toast was $6, happy hour only reduced the price of the appetizers, but split between 3 people, well worth it.
All together we payed $10 each to enjoy a nice relaxing atmosphere, good music and great food. If you're ever in the area of the Analog Bar, 801 F Street in San Diego on the corner of F and 5th, I highly suggest checking it out.
Next review I'll remember to take pictures of the food and the venue. This is officially the first post of my Super Tasty food critic blog. I figure "Best Buck Ever Spent" will just be an article I use occasionally. More posts of Super Tasty to come once I finish my Pescetarian challenge, which is on my other blog.

An Untrained Palette and Unrefined Journalism
So one thing I've toyed with the idea of doing was being a bit of a food critic, however I have never worked on refining my palette and I have no idea of the proper style to write a review. So instead of learning those things and working my way to doing it properly I'm just going to cannonball myself into the realm of casual food critiquing. I might not put something up for a while, and I'll try to avoid doing articles on corporate restaurant chains, so we'll see how this goes. Another limiting factor will be the fact that I challenged myself to be a Pescetarian for the rest of the year starting after Easter, with eight exemptions where I can eat meat for a day. I guess for two-thousand eleven this blog will consist of a mostly vegetarian review with a few articles on fish. Well I guess all I can say is see you guys when I find something to do a review on, until then.
